中文摘要: 本篇論文針對美國近年來細胞培養人造肉的發展課題,探討這種以細胞培養生物科技人造肉品所衍生相關法律規範的問題。作者認為主管機關如美國食物暨藥物管理局以及農業部應採行必要的規管措施,在企求強化公眾健康保護之同時,保障食物科技之創新。目前在細胞培養肉品的安全性尚未確認前,關於此類肉品的適當標示,即為政府單位目前應積極採行作為措施的領域。

英文摘要: This article explains that both the FDA and USDA should regulate in vitro meat production in order for the public to benefit from each agency’s regulatory strengths. It also asserts a proper labeling system of in vitro meat product is necessary to protect the public health without discriminating novel food technologies. Therefore, the author suggests that producers should proactively work with both the FDA and USDA to bring proper uniform labeling and safe in vitro meat products into the market.
